There’s nothing like the unconditional love of a pet. They fill our hearts with the kind of joy and understanding that few others can. Our pets show us affection, give us a sense of purpose, tag alongside us on this crazy roller coaster we call life, and greet us every day when we come home (well, maybe not if you have a cat). Our pets are the witnesses to our lives—they know our secrets, our deepest fears, our hopeful desires. They see us at our best and comfort us at our worst. They are our closest family. So let me encapsulate the quirkiness and personality of your fur family in acrylic paint.
Whether to celebrate and honor the spirit of a pet who has crossed the rainbow bridge, as a surprise for a friend who has welcomed a new animal into their life, or as a gift for a loved one who is equally obsessed with their pet as you, a custom portrait is a great way to capture that bond.
The process is simple:
- This listing is for a custom pet portrait painted in high-quality acrylics on 16"x20"x1.5” or 18"x18"x1.5"(d) gallery wrapped canvas. Some basic requirements for each piece include: collector must love whimsy, bright colors, and flowers and/or other items found in nature. If you are looking for a more muted pet portrait, I am not your artist. I believe in living colorfully—life is too short for beige.
- Once purchased, email me your favorite photos of your pet to RachelGoodmanArtworks {at} gmail.com, and I'll suggest which ones may work best for your custom portrait. When we have decided on the winning photograph, we’ll discuss any details you want incorporated into the final piece. Completion time for each painting is roughly 4-6 weeks once we have decided on the winning picture and nailed down all specifications.
- I will send a photo of the final piece for your approval before applying the glossy varnish. Then the painting will be in the mail and on its way to you!
- Feel free to message me with any questions you may have. I'm happy to suggest alternate sizes before purchasing.
The edges of the piece are fully painted to match the background color of the painting, so your art arrives ready to display. The painting is sealed with a glossy varnish to ensure the colors remain vibrant and to maintain the integrity of the acrylic paint.
Shipping: The price listed for each piece includes all shipping costs for anywhere in the continental US. If you are located in another country, please email rachelgoodmanartworks@gmail.com for shipping rates. All paintings will be shipped via UPS or USPS. Please allow up to 5 business days for shipping.
